The POCUS Specialty Interest Group (SIG) helps to advance the field of cardiovascular ultrasound and enhance patient care in hospital settings. By focusing on innovation, education, and quality improvement, this SIG contributes significantly to ASE’s mission and goals. This SIG will lead to substantial advancements in the use of POCUS, ultimately making it the standard of care for hospitalized patients, particularly in guiding the management of fluid administration and acute decompensated HF in hospitalized patients. All ASE members who utilize POCUS including hospitalists, internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, etc. are encouraged to join this SIG.
