The Advanced Imaging Techniques: Virtual Experience was held on August 29 - August 30, 2026, and featured a clinically applicable program aimed at the sonographer/practitioner directly involved in advanced echo imaging. A total of 8 CME credits were available.
Led by Course Directors Kristen Billick, BS, ACS, RCS, RDCS (AE, PE), FASE and Ashlee Davis, BS, ACS, RDCS, RCCS, FASE, this year’s conference took participants on a journey from the fundamentals of cardiac anatomy to the cutting edge of 3D visualization, exploring how to transition "from pig heart to probe" to better understand complex structures. Attendees gained a systematic approach to the evaluation of Mitral Regurgitation (MR) and Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR) using 3D technology, providing the precision required for modern clinical practice.
The program dove deep into the mechanics of the heart, offering comprehensive sessions on the acquisition, processing, and clinical applications of 3D and strain analysis for the Left Ventricle (LV), Left Atrium (LA), and Right Ventricle (RV). Beyond standard imaging, attendees explored the vital role of Intracardiac Echo (ICE) during structural heart imaging and uncovered the critical diagnostic insights provided by LV and LA strain data.
