Time Commitment for ASE Officers
- Executive Committee Conference Calls – 2 hour calls twice a month (dates and times set)
- February Board of Directors Meeting
- Executive Committee Meeting at the American College of Cardiology
- IRT Event in April (usually a 2 day event)
- May New Board Member Orientation (virtual meeting)
- June 14, 2024 Board Meeting, Portland, OR at ASE Scientific Sessions (All nominees for the proposed Slate of Officer and Directors election June 2024 are invited to attend as observers to become familiar with the strategic plan and goals.)
- IRT Partner Meetings at the Scientific Sessions (usually 3-4 face-to-face)
- November 2024 Board Meeting/Strategic Planning Session (2 day event) in person location TBD
- Board of Directors/Executive Committee Conference Calls- Held twice a year (January and April)
- Required review and voting on ASE Guidelines (5-10 times per year)
- Participation in any specially called meeting
- Participation in ASE Foundation Fundraising Activities
- Participation in ASE Social Media Activities
- Actively involved in annual business meetings and networking events (held during Scientific Sessions)

ASE will cover travel, lodging and meal reimbursement to attend the February Board Meeting and the November Board meeting. All other meeting travel is not covered.
Time Commitment for ASE Foundation Board Members:
- Spring Board of Directors Meeting via conference call
- June Board Meeting at ASE Scientific Sessions
- Fall Board of Directors Meeting via conference call
- Participation in any specially called meetings
- Must actively be involved with the ASE Foundation campaigns
Meeting travel is not covered by the Foundation.
Time Commitment for ASE Council Steering Committees Members:
- Participation in quarterly conference calls (90 minutes).
- Participation in bi-annual Retreat (held during ASE’s Board of Directors Meeting)
- Actively involved in Council Steering Committee annual business meetings and networking events (held during Scientific Sessions)
- Participation in any specially called meetings at the request of the Council Steering Committee Chair
ASE will cover travel, lodging and meal reimbursement to attend the bi-annual Council Steering Committee retreat (if it’s not held during Scientific Sessions.) Attendance is expected at all in-person meetings.
