Charge(s):
- Create a competitive list of nominees, actively solicit should candidates be interested in serving.
- Select the most qualified candidates and create a ballot for the Board of Directors and Officers.
- Review and Suggest Modifications to the Society’s Nomination Process.
- Align nominating solicitations to have selection of ASE Board members be more directly integrated with the strategic needs, including diversity in gender and subspecialty representation, of the Society, including emerging areas.
- Review Leadership Academy candidates nominated for ASE Board and make recommendation for slate
- Attendance required to vote.
- Review nominations and recommend candidates for ASE Foundation Board slate.
- Review nominations and recommend candidates for Board re-appointment for exceptional service, based on recommendations from the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will provide criteria to the Nominations Committee to reappoint ONLY for exceptional circumstance that meets this very high threshold.
Members of the Nominations Committee are not eligible for nominations during their term of service.
Members are not permitted to make nominations or write letters of support for nominees.
