New JASE Features

The inaugural JASE podcast, featuring discussion of the January issue by Editor-in-Chief Michael H. Picard, is now available at OnlineJASE.com. Tell us what you think! These podcasts will be a regular feature of the JASE homepage often taking the place of an Editor’s Page in the Journal.

Also new to JASE is PlumX Metrics, an altmetric scoring system used by Elsevier, which publishes JASE.  The PlumX Metrics look beyond citations by providing insights into the ways people interact with individual pieces of online content (e.g., journal articles) using a comprehensive set of metrics: usage (clicks, views, downloads), captures, mentions (such as in a news article or blog post), social media, and citations.  Once one of these five activities has occurred for a JASE article, a Plum Print icon will be added to an article, and the metrics are updated daily. This system allows readers to track the impact of their article, and also allows readers to expand their insights into the published article.
