ASE’s past president, Sanjiv Kaul, MD, FASE, from the Oregon Health & Science University, will receive one of the American Heart Association’s highest honors. He is being named the 2015 James B. Herrick Awardee for his scientific achievements which have contributed profoundly to the advancement and practice of clinical cardiology. He is the first echocardiographer to be honored in this manner. The award will be presented at the AHA’s Scientific Sessions Annual Conference on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Orlando, FL.
