Grassroots Network

Dear Potential Member of ASE’s Grassroots Advocacy Network:

We appreciate your interest in our grassroots network, a nationwide group of members interested in driving the broad “3 Ps”: policies, politics and payors that impact echocardiography. Our vision is to educate and inform our network of advocates whenever an issue arises that potentially impacts our profession or our practices.

As an active member of our network, it will be your mission to respond to issue alerts that are posing threats to the profession or practice of echocardiography on the state or federal levels. In some cases, we’ll be attempting to impact the decisions of legislators; in others, of regulatory agencies and insurers. Typically, you’ll be asked to make a call, send a letter or e-mail, visit or talk with your local representative, or file a comment to a regulatory agency. However, you won’t be doing this on your own.  As a member of the network, you’ll receive sample letters, talking points, background and contact information, in short, everything you’ll need to be effective.

ASE believes so strongly in the potential of the advocacy network that we have invested in software to maintain a comprehensive Legislative Action Center on our Website. This area of the Website will house resources which will allow you to communicate your views to the proper authorities with the touch of a button. The Legislative Action Center will be your site for the latest information and guidance on how best to respond to issues of concern. As a member of the network, you’ll be asked to familiarize yourself with the Center and all of its features.

Bring your enthusiasm, a bit of your time and you’ll be amazed at the progress we can make together! To sign up for the Grassroots Network, simply e-mail our advocacy department at advocacyinfo@asecho.org.
